Vacancy Detail

Project Manager

About you
You are a Project Manager who has found your feet in construction and fit out, and you are ready for more responsibility. You have a couple of years under your belt and you understand how a job runs from start to finish. You are probably in that stage of your career where you want to be trusted with more, rather than being heavily managed.

You like being on site, close to the detail, speaking with clients and subcontractors. You take pride in delivering a clean, well run project. You are organised, commercially aware, and you do what you say you will do. You also want to keep learning and developing, not stand still.

Your experience
You have experience as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager within office fit out, interiors or a related construction sector. You understand programmes, budgets, and how to keep a job moving.

You have been involved in projects, ideally ranging from smaller works through to a few million in value. Something in the region of £250k to £5m would fit well.

You are comfortable running or supporting multiple projects at once, managing subcontractors, and dealing with clients in a professional way. You know the basics and you are now looking for a role where you can build on that foundation.

What you will be doing with your experience
You will be managing office fit out projects across Leeds and the surrounding area. Some will be standalone larger schemes, others will be multiple smaller projects running at the same time.

You will take ownership of delivery on site. That includes managing programmes, coordinating trades, keeping clients updated, and making sure projects land on time and within budget.

You will be based from a Leeds site office, with involvement in future office plans as the business continues to grow. This is a role where you will be trusted, supported, and given the space to develop into a stronger Project Manager.

About the business
This is a growing fit out and interiors contractor with a strong pipeline of work in the commercial office sector. They have built a solid reputation for delivering quality projects and maintaining good client relationships.

The culture is straightforward and down to earth. People are trusted to do their job without unnecessary layers of management. There is a real focus on rewarding staff properly, which shows in their package.

You will have access to a company bonus, a pension matched up to 8 percent, a healthcare cash plan, and a referral scheme. There are 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with an extra day for your birthday. There is also enhanced sick pay, life assurance, enhanced family leave, and critical illness cover.
